Mecaprec has a specific metrology department that allows us to certify the quality of all our products.

Adhering to the measurements and geometric tolerances defined by the customer is essential to guarantee the quality of the product and ensure its assembly and functionality.

For this purpose, apart from having the most diverse manual measuring tools (micrometers, digital alexometers, digital calipers, P/NP for threads and adjustments, etc.), we have a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine (CMM) that allows us to improve the accuracy of the results.

It is a NIKON METROLOGY ALTERA S15.37.6.

• It has a 5-axis PH10M PLUS motorized head with bridge and ceramic columns.
• Automatic 6-head changer with different geometries and lengths to reach the most difficult areas.

Thanks to the automatic measuring system and the assisted programming with the Polyworks software, we achieved an improvement in part validation times, improving our productivity.

In addition to the validation of our products, this system allows us to perform reverse engineering work by means of point probing and scanning. In this way we rebuild the 3D geometry again to be able to manufacture spare parts for the damaged components.
